Default LS1 vs Truck Ls vs Ls6 intake

So i have headers and a full exhaust for my car, going to get a cam dunno what one, friend has one he will sell me, going to nos the car to try and get to 550whp, my question is what intake is better? i have both ls1/truck, but i can sell them both for a ls6 if its worth it, he said the truck one has better low end torque which is cool and all but then he also said there would be clearance issues with the cowl and id have to cut it which i would really rather not do. Any info on this subject would be amazing, ive searched around and found nothing but i might also be looking in the wrong places.

Truck intake flows great...just ugly and does not fit under a Fbody cowl without some major effort.

For guys who make the switch from LS1 to LS6, they tend to comment that powerband moves up in the rpm band. Where you give up some you may gain somewhere else. I do not think the LS6 is superior to the LS1 in every aspect, but it does tend to shine in the upper rpms. Guess it depends on what you're after.

You can easily sell the both for the price of a LS6

I didn't experience this. LS6 made equal to more power everywhere - it just really begins to shine in the midrange and up.

I figured as much, id sell the truck one with the rails and stuff because that has all of it, then take the stuff off my ls1 intake to use on the ls6, i just dont know how much a truck manifold is, i know the ls1 is around 125-150 so id have to make up like 300 something with the truck one which i dont see happening, at least thats what i see ls6 ones go for. Which i think is nonsense for a used intake.

Trucks setups are usually free as everyone has one to sell or give away.
Ls1 I can't even get $100 for mine.
I am in tx so both intakes are easy to find and buy cheap.

I'd keep the truck intake as it's just as good as an ls6 unless your revving the crap out of the engine

Get the ls6, there's a reason why every one upgrades to one.

Agreed, in a f-body go LS6 or if you have the $$$ a FAST 90 or 102. Fitting a truck intake is not worth the trouble.

If it is a swap project that will clear the truck intake then go ahead and use it.
