Default LS1 Corvette belt tensioner - how many types are there, are they interchangeable?

Hi,

as far as I know there are two types of belt tensioners for the LS1 Corvette engine. There is 12559325 up to '2000 and 12568181 from 2001 onwards.

Are these interchangeable despite the different part numbers?

Actually I am looking for a 89049312 tensioner which is supposed to fit a 97-04 Corvette LS1. However I can not find this part number in any of the GM part catalogues. The 89049312 tensioner is also offered by AC Delco (38194), it will also fit all LS1 Corvettes from 97-04.

I need this tensioner to convert my truck front drive accessory, see here. The post there states that a 1998 Corvette LS1 Tensioner part number 89049312 is required.

Now I am asking myself If I could instead use the 12559325 tensioner? Or is the 89049312 tensioner even the same one as the 12559325 one?

Do yourself a favor, buy the Katech non-spring loaded tensioner in whatever spacing that you need.
