3d printing a cold air intake tube
Hello gents,
I have an lsx swapped gbody monte carlo. I made my cold air intake pipe by plastic welding together a bunch of joints from an airaid u build it kit. It turned out ok, but nothing special....I've recently learned about 3d printing( I'm a little behind the times) and I was wondering if anyone has ever had tubing made from a 3d printer? I'm considering designing my own intake pipe and having someone 3d print it.

The FSAE team at my college 3D prints all of their intake manifolds for the little 600cc motor they use in the cars. It's doable for sure, just have to be careful what plastics you use and how the printer finished them. They had some weird idle issues with vaccum fluctuations and cam to find out the air was being pulled through the material itself.
