Ordered the ac version, and looks to me no way in hell it will fit. From the pics ive seen, its supposed to fit inside on the bottom of the filter tray, and its a good 1/2 to an inch too large...any help on this one?? Am i missing something?

I believe once you set all that in place, the metal radiator support area will cover that 1/2" area you are talking about. Just make sure to use the tapping screws to secure it into place and use silicone around any areas where air can leak into. Sealing the whole area off is key

What i mean is, the whole thing should fit inside of the filter box and lid, it sticks out 1/2 inch on both sides. No possible way to cut the box to allow the thing to fit inside of it

It goes under the airbox. Silicone any open areas where they meet.
