Thank you...complete tear down, install new motor, trans/converter, rear, pump, etc. in less than 4 months (weekends and a few nights).
All left is order some tires for the Racestars (17x4.5 & 15x10) and hit the track

Front skinnies are on (still haven't purchased 15"DR's for rear yet). Got some 16" M/T until the 15"'s get ordered.
Thought I would try the M&H 17" radial racemasters on the front, they are about 4.5# heavier than the bias but wanted the safety/stability for when my son's starts driving it. Headed to the track Friday night for the debut

Not super familiar with 1/8th mile times, but I'm gonna say a solid 7.80. Awesome build btw, looking forward to what comes next!

My thought exactly (on both), I was hoping for a little more...however it is a stalled auto and was extremely hot (98*) in the dyno building.

Finally got it down the track tonight...prep sucked (Fri T&T) and the DA was 2260! (80* and 95% humidity).
Managed a 1.67 60' (spinning) 7.44 @ 93.46 (up to my expectations considering the conditions).
I was using my buddy's 4+yo 16" M/T which I think was part of the hooking problem and the tune needs some work too...it was short shifting the 1-2 and bouncing off the limiter on the 2-3.
New 15" tires to go on the racestars are on order. I think with the bugs worked out, new tires, and some decent DA it will be in the 6.90's (not to mention there is at least another couple of hundred pounds to come out )

Just lost 13.2# in 30 min. (wish I could do that ei. driver mod.)
Two heat shields, washer bottle, and upper panhard bar.

Nothing wrong with results. Once you get it to hook there will be info to go off of to make it quicker.

Obviously tune needs some work.
And yes, I do know how to stage...light had to be reset.

New tires/rims mounted up, tuner fixed me up yesterday on the shifts, and a little more weight to come out.
Back to the track she goes....

Track was rained out on Friday...
Removed another 58.9# today...Still rockin the stock heavy seats (Driver=46# Passenger=42#). Two Kirkey's will replace those @ 12# each
