has anyone designed their own headers? as the title says, has anyone taken the time to sit down and have a set of headers made in the lenght and primary size to specificly fit their needs?
The reason I ask is that I in the process of modding my headers to clear a motor plate and it got me to wondering why I don't just go all out and make some 1 7/8" or 2" primary headers to go with my 388.

2" primaries would be way too big for that displacement. A local shop over here has made some custom headers for an ls1. I wouldn't waste the money on what would be a small gain if any over what is on the market currently.
