I have an LS2 thermostat that is supposed to open at 187. My low speed fan is set to come on at 194. I noticed that the fans would run but I was not circulating any water. Purchase new thermostat and tested three different ones. One from advance auto one from Napa and a factory GM one. Brought water temperature up in a pot to 189 for over five minutes none of them even partially opened. Did not start to open until 195. did not fully open until 205. This was for all three thermostats. Doesn't make sense to have the fan running when I'm not even circulating water. My question is should I get a lower thermostat or raise fan temp?
