Default 5.3 ls suggestions

I bought this 1969 nova. It had a 5.3 in it with .650 lift . Big cam 224/230
With edelbrock single plane intake. Headers . 750 quick fuel carb. I would like to convert it to efi. Is it worth it to put this truck intake manifold I have lying around . Would I lose power ? Is it worth the swap?

Truck intakes generally flow well compared to the car(LS1/LS2) EFI intakes. Maybe not quite the LS6 but if you have one lying around, run that.

With that cam, single plane intake, 750 carb, I will guess that you are likely going to lose 15-20 horsepower on top and lower your peak RPM by 200-300RPM but you should gain low and mid range. A '69 Nova is not a small animal so I would guess that it would actually make the engine better-suited to the application. I say that not knowing what gears, exhaust, transmission(stall?), etc. or what you are doing with said vehicle. I assume heavy street use if you are converting to EFI.

In the Jeep, when I went from LM7(5.3) to LS2, I picked up a TBSS-style intake and adapted the fuel rails and other bits to it. It allows you to run the 4-bolt larger throttle bodies as well. You can get these intakes new on Amazon for about $115 bare:

But I'd start with the intake you have now and see how it goes. Swapping an intake is about a 45 minute job done right.
