Default question about intake manifold swap

Just have a quick question about the intake manifold swap. on the ls6 intake manifold swap, why is it necessary to change the old cooliant line that run between the head(the ones that have the x-shape to it). Thanks

The LS6 intake is bigger. The coolant lines(LS1) will prevent the intake from being seated properly.

aaaaactually... the shape on the intake is what gets ya, the LS6 has a flat bottom, the old coolant lines won't fit under it, the LS1 intake has a curved bottom thus making room for those lines...
