QTPs, now what combo?
Alright, after much deliberation and more exhaustive research, I'm convinced that QTPs would be better than the FLPs I originally wanted. After going to QTPs website, I'm now faced with another decision: 3/4s or 7/8s? I've got an '01, so I guess that means no EGR, right? And since I want to go with their Cut-out Y-pipe (doesn't look like it's electric though), I wouldn't need AIR right so I could remove that?

Ok with stock cubes stick with the 1 3/4. Their y pipe has available two electric cut outs ( QTP makes the QTec electric cutout) If your gonna go with the ory w/ or w/o the cutouts you might as well get the race version of their headers with no emissions hook ups, otherwise you'll have to block off the AIR hook ups on the headers and it'll look nasty.
I love my QTP's and you will too

The website says that the kit already have the bungs for the 02 sensors/extensions, how many are required? 2 sensors, 1 extension? 2 sensors, 2 extensions? Will the bolts that come with it be sufficient, or should I spring for Stage 8s?

Now, the GMMG is on GP right now, but what's the best price I can get on the QTP set-up? The race version is listed at $829.99, the electric cutout Y is listed at $600 (I think it's electric) so does that mean $1429.99 +shipping?

I've been reading on another thread that the Y-pipe has a terrible fit although I think it was the Cat Y, any fitment issues on the Off road Y or Dual Electric Y?

Same goes for the catted ypipe as 99CamaroSS now knows how that went.
My car was down for 2 days and had to drive to Lanes with open headers for exhaust work to make the ORY fit.
BTW...QTP headers are top notch as i see it.

Will an X-pipe set up work with QTP headers, Off road pipes, and GMMG exhaust? Where could a pair of dual electric cutouts fit? I'm guessing I might need a shop to fab the ORP or no?
BTW, newbie question, what does it mean to run OPEN Headers?

Due to the varaince of every car ( different aftermarket parts like torque arms, etc. etc. ) I doubt that there is any one y pipe that will fit every car. I went with QTP's catted Y, and the shop that did my install remade about 1/2 of it. Just not possible for any one thing to fit, if you are gonna run cat's, best bet would be to picl up the cat's, the collector you want to use, and have a shop fabricate what else they need. Probably the best fitting and easiset way. My .02
