Default My TSP lid sucks in tons of junk...

I dunno if it's the lid or my K&N, but I always have crap on my MAF screen, is there some kind of foam ring I can put around the perimeter of the lid so I don't get the crap like grass and small pebbles?
thanks
-Steve

I have never had a problem with my TSP lid and I've had it on the car for over a year.

I had the same problem with junk up in my MAF until I ditched my K&N and went back to a Fram. Problem solved...

Your K&N panel filter should have come (at least they used to) with a foam gasket that gets applied to your air lid. If it didn't then you can either call K&N and request a new one or get some weatherstripping foam from Home Depot and attach it around the inner periphery of your lid so that it seals against the filter.

when i bought my car it didnt have this little piece that holds in the air filter properly. I went to the dealer and got the piece and have had no problem ever since. Without the piece you can clearly tell the air filter doesnt fit properly.

You need that foam liner. It comes with the K&N filter.

I have the K&N filter and TSP lid w/o the foam liner. I saw that there was a huge gap between the filter and lid so used a bead of RTV on thr filter and let it dry before installing the lid back on, problem solved.

Yea I ditched my K&N filter too because of quality and went with the Holley Power Shot and it's a great quality filter.
