Default Motor mounts install/remove

Hi Team,

What is the best way to remove the motor mounts?

I was reading on here the easiest way to do it with out removing any or a lot of accessory parts is by taking the whole pedestal out ? Has anyone actually tried it this way?

Or is it just better to squeeze the actual motor mount out?

Thanks.

I recently installed poly motor mounts with my LTs already on the car, it was not possible to put them in without removing the pedestal.
Be warned this is not an easy job and will take hours and hours to complete. I would dedicate atleast two days of the car being down if you are working alone.
The biggest problem is getting the mounts to line up with the bolt hole so you can slide the long bolt in. It took me two jacks and a crowbar to make it work, then you still have to hammer the bolt in all the way.
