Default Idle Problems with Ported TB...Anyone have any?

I was wondering if anyone has had any idle problems with the ported and polished TB's. Mine had the "epoxy" job done to it. Could this possibly keep the IAT from seating properly? I bought the TB from a sponsor here. It came with the IAT (without the O-ring) installed.

No problems from mine. You could inspect the IAC
seating face for bits o' crud, but the IAC plunger
should not be dead-seated anyway. If you have
one that's been epoxy-filled and has had the IAC
port drilled at 3/16", maybe that hole wants a
little bigger, especially if your motor needs more
air than most (big cam). But then, many cammed
cars want some idle tuning (VE) to be right on
mixture. Any air leakage in through the IAC servo
is further unmetered error. Give it a shot of propane
about the base of the IAC servo and if it changes
any, fix a vacuum leak.
