www.ls1sounds.com I want to know what the raspy sound sounds like. If its not too much trouble, can someone give me a link from www.ls1sounds.com that gives out the RASPY or DRONE (sp?) sound that everyone dislikes.

Drone is the sound inside the car that the exhaust makes. It's a certain tone that sounds very annoying and vibrates your head and ears, thats the only way I can describe it. Rasp is kind of a crackling sound, high pitched, un-refined sounding. Very hard to describe. Try the sound clips. I'll keep looking through and post up new ones as I find them.

just hear any LT + ORY + LM combo and you'll be able to pin down rasp and drone in a heartbeat.

My LT + ORY + Corsa combo rasps pretty bad from 1500-3000 at half throttle to WOT. After that, it sounds pretty mean I get compliments on it a lot

i have a bullet but my car sounds much crapier than those two i listened to, and i have the awful pop sound b/t 2k and 3k

As far as rasp, think about your uncles 76 Ford pick-up with glass packs and 1 1/2" duel exhaust. If you know someone with a Borla exhaust and no cats ride in their car and listen to the way it sound from 2100 rpms to about 2900 rpms. That is where the rasp is the worst. I hate driving my car right now. I have to get an 18" bullet to put in my I-pipe. They say that is supposed to help it.

You can get some Borla XR1 mufflers for your true dual setup that will cure the raspy tones, a friend of mine has them and it's like a race car, total bliss I have Pacesetters, no cats, 3" y-pipe, and a Borla, with any plate except the block off plate, it rasps around 2200-2800 rpm like stated above. If you have the plate in there to run it through the muffler, it's SOOOO nice, but not as loud, and I like it loud I run the smallest plate in the Borla, works great and sounds pretty good.
