Arrow VMS Performance Coils - LS1

Hey guys,

So I have been doing a lot of research. I have read a lot that MSD's are a waste of money. I was going to go with AC Delco but I saw VMS performance high output coils for a similar price. The link is below. I have read about other brands but not this one, any reviews?

Thanks,

Nothing but ac delco. They are PROVEN performers that can handle 1000 hp, last many many miles, and give off little to no "noise"

A switch in coils will yield little to no gain. Anybody that says it gives noticeable gains is either drinking the Kool aid, or telling you things because they're trying to sell them.
Looking for horsepower in coils is like buying snake oil

Lmfao that made me laugh, I read that AC can handle serious power, just needed reassurance. Thanks

Default LS IGN-1A hp gain for NA LS = 18

The ignition coil IS rated in output energy, the term is mj's of energy.
The difference in housing color, Red, Yellow, Black will make NO HP change.
The CAUSE, in increased HP, is that a higher energy ignition coil has greater Arc Duration, I great thing for an engine.

The coils supplied to Delphi ARE great coils @ 36-64 mj.
They are then sold to AC-Delco (Dayton Engineering Laboratory COmpany) for "aftermarket" replacements.

There ARE counterfits at E-Bay, listed.

I thank 'Maroned" for his respect of our coil.

VMS doesn't manufacture coils, they are supplied.
My observation of the "steel" Black paint, the Red housing quality, AND epoxy color would make me want to test one of them in my CO-2 coil pressure test chamber before fitting.

You could send me one to test, no "charge".

I could supply reasons based on "science" as the the HP GAIN, just ask ?

Thank you Lance for the very helpful information. If I can get my hand on one, I will definitely send it over. I would like to supply more knowledge on this topic. Looks like I am sticking with AC Delco.
