Y Pipe Or True Duals
Ok Well I Want You Guys To Help Me Out On A Full Exhaust? I Want To Know Which Is Going To Sound Better, Louder And Give Me More Hp? Should I Go With Some New Headers And A Offroad Y Pipe And A Nice Catback System Or New Headers And A Offroad X Pipe And Two Mufflers Dumped All The Way Out The Back. What Do U Guys Think.

if you go with a catless y pipe and any catback there will be rasp to some extent. true duals are the only rasp free system i know of. the new TD setup from TSP flows insanely well. Talked to Jason the other day, and he said w/Pacesetter headers, and the TSP TD exhaust, it dyno'd 2rwhp less then a cutout w/Pacesetters. Can't beat that. Plus it sounds wicked.

go true duals without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!! dont make the same mistake that I and many others made. just get it done and over with. if you cant pass emision where you live at then get the cutouts with a catback.
i had a magnaflow catback and the duals sound waaayyy better.

I went from stock to Spintech catback to True Duals.
True duals rock. There's also much selection of sound tone within the true dual range, as your choice of muffler(s) will greatly affect the sound characteristic.

True duals, trust me, ive had a hooker catback with Hooker headers, a borla with manifolds and now Kooks headers with Hooker catback and cut out. All have Rasp, all suck *** compared to a nice true dual set up. Do it if you can, Kooks has a pricey but nice set up, TSP is nice and cheap but no tips, LS1speed has one too for a descent price. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!

yep....I made the mistake of going from a true dual setup (2.5 X pipe, Moroso Sprial Flows dumped), to SLP D/D, ORY, QTEC, and now I'm going back to duals! I miss the sound so much, don't get me wrong, I get complments all the time about how nice my car sounds with the QTEC open, but I just miss that mellow, smooth, no rasp tone that true duals give you. GO WITH DUALS!
