Default 1 wire alternator

Hello. Will any 1 wire GM alternator for a SBC bolt up to an LS1?

Not that I know of, the 1 wires were typically longer and will not fit in the bracket. Also with a one wire you will lose your voltage guage.

Good to know, thanks. I'm not too interested in the voltage gauge (going to eventually use a digital dash).
Any idea how to convert an LS1 alternator to a 1 wire setup (I'm using a standalone)?

I run a single wire on my vette.



Shouldn't be that much different for a f-body mounting. Any questions let me know.

As far as reconfiguring the factory. It's easier to buy an after market high output. Factory size can go to about 150-160 Amps I think.
