Default LS6 intake upgrade Ac Delco?

looking to finally do ls6 intake swap on my 2000 ss. i see ls6 intakes on ebay for 300 plus that are ten years old and bran new Ac Delco's for 233 and dormans for 300$ ....as a newbie are these total waste or are folks just taking advantage...its a daily driver and im not trying to set a new 1/4 mile record just something to keep the car fun...
thanks in advance...

All depends on your budget. If you can afford a Fast get that. If not, look at the LS6 or BBK.

if youre wanting more 'pep' around town, a ls6 or dorman ls2 is sufficient. I know you didn't ask this but also look into better flowing exhausts. headers back. these cars respond very well to bolt ons getting more air in and out. once you have the bolt ons done, look into a dyno tune to wake the car up more. hope this helps

This. Save up the cash and do it right the first time and be done with it, vs saving up a little and doing it once and feeling only a mild gain over stock.
