Default ATK 6.0 stock 5.3 injectors work?

A guy is brining me a mid 2000s Silverado original 5.3 truck. Stock everything except for a ATK 6.0. Only thing I’ve gathered different from a LQ4 is it has a 216/224 cam. It’s recommended to run 36 pound injectors but he has bought an oddball injector I’m sure I won’t be able to find data on. Truthfully will the stock injectors not be enough for that? And if all else fails would stock ls1s not work? From my understanding it doesn’t have any bolt ons at all.

Will they work, Yes. But they will be maxed out under WOT.

You can get 8.1L injectors for a reasonable price and I believe they flow around 32 lbs

I’ve got 8.1s coming in on the 12th. I just assumed since 5.3 and 6.0s share the same injector the small cam wouldn’t max them out.

A modded 5.3 can exceed what those injectors can deliver. A stock 6.0 comes REAL CLOSE to maxing them out. Almost any mods to a 6.0 put the desired flow out of reach.

Go for the 8.1s. Seems to be the eeeeeeezist cheeeeeeeeeepest way of getting there.

That's not exactly a "small cam", in the context of "stock" for a truck motor. Might be "small" compared to some of what we do for a really hot lighter car but it's a pretty significant step away from a stock LQ4 cam. Or even LQ9 which is a good bit more.

Post up the # on the injectors you're being supplied, maybe somebody can help you determine if they're up to the task, or whether maybe the individual in question can send em down the road to someone that can use em.

They’re being swapped even back to advance auto for 8.1s. All the parts were all bought new before i got the truck.
