Default Loudmouth guys?!?!

Hey everyone that has or previously owned a slp loudmouth exhaust. I just purchased one from texas-speed and hoping it will arive soon. I was just wondering if it is a bolt on exhaust or weld on? that might be a stupid question but i asked one exhaust shop how much it would be to install it and they said 125$. For that price i will buy a welder and put it on myself. Is that around what yall paid to have it installed? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

I like mine, sounds badass w/ longtube headers. Drive car on wheel ramps, then jack rear of car up and set on jackstands, high enough so you can get under it easily. Cut the old muffler off w/ sawzall at the entrance of the muffler, pull off old muffler. Unbolt where y pipe and remaining pipe go, slide out, install new hardware. 1/2 hour later, mean sounding car, and about 10 hp. Easy.

The loudmouth is very very intimidating with longtube's. Sounds mean and you get alot of looks!!

If you want to avoid exhaust leaks you could have it welded everywhere except where it clamps over the y-pipe. Just get everything put together, clamp it all down like you normally would then take it to an exhaust shop and have them remove the clamps and weld the pipes together. Should cost any more than $30 for that.

Good Luck,
Matt

I love my LM. One bad thing is the damned clamp to the Y pipe keeps coming loose and rattling. I am temped to weld it together when I get my flp's but I think I will just wait to see how it fits on there too. But it is a great system.

If the clamp is loosening, you probably never got it tight enough. Friend of mine's loosened up twice, and the 3rd time I was at his house when he went to tighten it. I checked it after he was done, and I was able to give the bolt another two turns.... hasn't loosened up since.
