Default sheet metal vs. lsx intake

What is the power differances between running the sheet metal intake compared to the lsx intake on a bolt on car? (with the 90mm)

90mm is way too big for a bolton car. Either is not a good idea under 500rwhp.

Yea, you only need that 90mm intake if your running over 400 cubes. the 78mm will be more than enough.

Why is that Nate? I asked before if the 90mm will reduce throttle response and drivability like a carb that is too big but no one answered.

What does slappin a 90mm LSx set-up do to a stock cube bolt on car?

Will it shift the powerband up?

I've noticed most gains from increased TB size come above around 3500rpm.The charts I have seen USUALLY show little to no change below that.

Sorry for what might be silly questions but I am making the transition from carbs over to FI with this car and have alot to learn.

i will have a blower on it. I should be over 500hp when I'm finished. Is there more of a power gain from the sheet metal intake?
