Remanufactured alternators

Remanufactured alternators
Since they are all remans, even the ones you buy from gm. Should I beware of what I get. I have found a really good price on ac delco's, but I can get one here at the store for right around 200 that's not a genuine gm part. Saving me about 70 bucks. I remember back in the day of my friends buying alternators and starters from places like discount auto parts and such and having to change them out a few times until they found one that was worth a ****. Is that still a current problem today or is the quality control much better? Thanks.

I seem to have the best luck with reman delco's. They all have their problems though.
Delco remans are basiclly done by World Wide automotive they do most all their electrical rebuilding. The old adage you get what you pay for still applies.

Checkers supposedly has one that is brand new. Not a remanufactured one. They want something like $195-215 for it.
I can't remember. I went with a remanufactured Delphi unit myself.
