Default Anyone with a good way to clean the insides of an oily LS6 intake that's off the car?

I've got my intake manifold off of the car and want to clean out the oil soaked interior of it. I've got the LS6 PCV and obviously need to still add a catch can. Any suggestions on using something like a cold tank/hot tank or whatever? My main concern in dunk tanking this manifold is the rear rubber seal on the large vacuum fitting. Any idea's? Thanks!

Hose it down with brake cleaner to degrease it. Brake cleaner is alcohol based, but doesn't hurt rubber, like brake dust seals. It also evaporates quickly and leaves no residue.

Then use a detergent, like Simple Green and Hose it down once again ... let it sit for a couple minutes.

Then rinse with water.

Use air to dry all the electrical connections. Let it sit overnite to drain and properly dry.

Hot water and 409. Douche it in 409, let it soak for a few hours, then use your laundry room sink on full hot to wash it. Hot water is an amazing degreaser.

I did the same as Crainholio, but used Dawn.

I would think letting it sit in a sink filled with Dawn and hot water would take care of it...

I vote for the brake cleaner and dawn soap afterward, very easy to do.

Heh heh...he said "douche".

Perhaps wipe it clean with some Maxi pads? (j/k)
