Default Questions about street legal long tubes with catilitic converter!!!

I bought long tubes, Y pipe, 1 cadilitic converter, and a catbac exhaust system. I didn't have the O2 sensors hooked up and my cadilitic converter was welded in my catbac system (somehow it blew my cadilitic converter). Some performance places told me that it's not possible to have long tubes and my cadilitic converter because my long tubes are too long. What can i do about this??

First, it's catalytic.

Second, which LTs do you have? If it's one of the major brands I don't think you would have a major problem. Plenty of people run LTs with cat(s). It could depend on placement though.

Where exactly was the cat welded in? If its not close to the motor, it wont stay hot, wont work, get clogged, and can shorten the life span. Also, you should have two in the y-pipe, not one wherever you put it. Two of them already block some flow, one is not going to be good for power.

Look at Magnaflow/CarSound cats. They are cheap and flow very well. Also avaliable in many different sizes.

Questions about street legal long tubes with catilitic converter!!!
Technically no long tube headers are street legal because they require the relocation of the cats. Yes long tubes with cats will pass the sniffer but not the visual, if its performed.

I and many people have long tubes with cats and havent run into any problems but I guess some people are luckier than others.

Out of curiosity, where was your 1 cat welded to? The I-pipe? Oh yeah who's idea was it and was it the stock cat?
