Default use the hose, or not use the hose

i recently put long tube headers on my 98z. so i didnt need the egr so i took it off. i have a busted up hose ( i think the name is a pvr hose i really can't remember) that runs across the top of the engins from one head to the other and the stupid thing is over a $100 to replace but i don't think i need it bc i think it has something to do with the egr but im not sure. the hose Y's apart and hooks up to 3 different place and isnt more than 18 inches long and there is a small hint and smell of oil coming from it but it is old oil. i have rebuilt the engine and it has only 400 miles on it and i just noticed the hose.

Default

the hoses your talking about is part of the PCV system, it has nothing to do with the egr setup. you can buy some hose from any autopart store, just get the correct length and diameter.
