What tool to remove an ASP pully?
I went to auto zone and rented a harmonic damper puller but it won't fit. The angle of the holes is right but it's just a tad too short. Is there a differant tool I need? I went around town and no one has one that will fit.

I was wondering the same thing and searched using keywords "asp pulley puller", you will find a ton of hits. It seems as though the normal "duck foot" looking 3 screw puller works but found out the bolts that come with that puller won't fit an ASP. You need to buy (3) 5/16-24 fine thread bolts to fit it.

I was able to pull mine the 1st time by using the harmonic balancer kit that Harbor freight sells for 10 bucks, the 2nd time I was able to pull it off by hand cause it was spinning on the crank and alot of the metal came off the inside of the pulley.

Crank was/is fine it was just that the ASP pulley did not have enough bite to stay on the crank in my case. My crank bolt started backing out and the pulley with it. The pulley was so loose I could literally pull it off with my hands and it was still almost 100% seated on the crank. Once I got it off I could see where it had been spinning on the crank as some of the asp metal was all bunched up at the end as if the crank had been eating away at it which I know it was cause I literally saw it spinning on there.
I had reused this pulley many times though and it was the old design so maybe it was just getting worn out? I switched to the ATI pulley and installed the key in my crank so I suspect this scenario should not happen again, only thing that sucks now is that I went from 25% ASP underdrive to 10% with the ATI.
