Default 4" inlet dual 3" outlet Magnaflow Muffler?

I was thinking for a future exhaust I might try out the 4" inlet dual 3" outlet SS muffler that Magnaflow makes. I'd like to put it in place of the standard spintech or flowmaster muffler on a 4" Mufflex catback. I'd orientate the pipes like the standard Magnaflow catback, where one pipe exits on the drivers side, and the other wraps around the back side of the muffler and exits the passenger side. I think it would flow a lot better than either muffler since it's a straight thru design and not a cross flow muffler to get duals pipes out the back. I was wondering if anyone had done something like this. I'd also like to do it because the muffler would be stainless and I'd buy mandrel stainless 3" bends and weld it myself.
