Radiator Swap Question
Hey guys,
I performing my first radiator swap on a '96 v6 f-body. My question is more about the condensor. Before I was able to remove the busted radiator I loosened a fitting (bolt) on the condesor at the neck of the radiator (near the cap), it fizzed then I shut it real tight and it went quiet. As i drained the radiator out, the fitting started to fizz again...quietly..then louder. It eventually went quiet again after about 1 hour.
Would anyone no if because I opened it, the refrigerant wet the seal and this is why it leaked...then stopped? Or it the seal simply broke and leaked all the refrigerant out? It seemed to be pressureized enough to leak slow more than 1 hour.

You have to make sure that you release the pressure in the system. Normally done by depressing the little schrader valve near the dryer. Or since you've already started to disconnect that hose from the condensor. If you had kept going, all of the pressure would have been released from there.
So just release the pressure in the system and disconnect everything.

Cool, Then depressurizing it and re-pressure is no big deal? I probably need to fix that bolt near that condensor valve at the radiator neck, huh? There must be a seal there under the bolt?

When I removed my A/C this weekend.. There was just a little o-ring on that tube.. We are talking about the hardline that connects to the A/C Condensor right below the radiator cap..
And yea.. once you're done.. You'll just have to have your AC recharged..
