Kooks + ORY + Dynomouth!! Problem??
I have searched but I staill have some questions.
I just got my Kooks and Ory installed and the car sounds great at idle but is raspy as hell on the road. I know some people have said to replace the Dynomax with a Borla. but is that alone enough to get rid of it. I have also heard that some of the flowmaster race series mufflers sound better(not the crossflows).
So sould I just do the borla, or should I leave the Dynomax, or should I put a magnaflow back where the stock one was. Or look at a Flowmaster or some other type. How much HP would I lose with that?

what length dynomax do u have???
i have pacesetters, ORYP and dynomouth with an 18" muffler and it sounds GREAT...its still a LITTLE raspy of course but its not a bad rasp and it still SCREAMS at WOT. if you have the 12", that might be your problem.

Don't get a Borla thinking you'll get rid of the rasp...my buddy has a Borla with Kooks and and ORY, and it is raspy as all hell. Holy ****, it shakes the whole car, and is ridiculously loud.
I'd try a Hooker if I were you...it will rasp some (as almost all ORY setups will), but other than that, get some cats.

here's your best option, sell your ORY, and pick up a true dual setup, no rasp, great sound, plus you'll pick up some not so shabby gains under the curve. problem solved!! either that, or swap out your current muffler for a sweet thunder chambered...those sound wicked. but any ORY setup will have rasp.

Thanks for the Replies. I think I might just deal with it for now. And pick up the True Duals. My only problem is the fact that I love tips coming out the back, and the lack of the exhaust resonating off the street.
