from what i've heard(i don't have these, nor plan to get them, my car is a DD and i enjoy the peace of mind of stainless steel) the new design of the pacesetters has bumped them up a notch on the quality scale. they are better designed, they are MUCH easier to install, you don't have to notch your block anymore, their y-pipe is better designed as well but that is up for debate, some people still have serious issues with them(y-pipe seems to be hit or miss).
for the money, you get a pretty good header. its not the best, it won't last the longest, and you may be leaving a few horses on the table(as compared to the stepped kooks or qtps), but you're also savin a hell of a lot of money. only downside it, can't get pacesetters in stainless steel. coated or uncoated only. :-(

haha, read the "Did poly mounts tonight" 3 threads down from this one. They have issues, some have more than others. It's a toss up, save some money and get cheap headers, or spend some more money and get good quality headers, it's up to you. But in the end you may be spending more on repairing things or fabbing things for the cheaper brand header.

You can buy some Macs, they are cheap, on a car without a cam you aren't really losing anything. The Macs will fit great and their y-pipes don't totally blow ***. With the Loudmouth the y on the Macs did rasp more than the pace setter y did.

I bolted mine up in a night, bought the TSP TDs, and very happy, no leaks and easy to install. The flanges look really nice compared to flowtechs and any other headers for the money!
