Default 78mm LSX Intake

Will a stock throttle body of a 98 Trans Am fit a 78mm LSX Intake Manifold. Thinking of buying one, but not sure if it will fit the stock TB. Also will it actually give the LS1 more horsepower by going with a larger TB 78mm or larger. Thanks!

Yes the stock TB will bolt right up. You will need to clearance the TB throttle cam so it will clear the PCV and open 100%. I ran the 78mm intake with a S2 ported TB when I reset the Stock Internal record.

Just for a heads up. The LSX is a lazy **** intake. Be prepared to make trips to the hardware store for nuts and bolts because it looks like nobody at FAST can tap a hole. You'll see what I mean. The intake performs though so don't sweat it.

Don't know why you say that, everything I needed came with the intake. The install was easy with no problems other than clearancing the TB cam..

Reddemon2, I'm upgrading to H/C and no longer need my 78mm Fast intake. It's up for sale if interested. I bought a 90mm for my new combo. PM me if your in the market to buy one. It was only on the car for a short period of time.
