Default TPS Voltage/TB opening and affect on vacuum at WOT ?

Think it'd make any difference?

Today I was working on the car , (oh yea... *cough* i'm sick today )

And i had HPT hooked up and WOT , TPS was saying 100% but voltage was 4.29

I checked the throttle cable and it had slack in it... so I took it out, cut it down and reinstalled and now I'm getting 4.71 volts

j/k about cutting it I used the throttle cable adjustment thing

Think that extra opening will have much effect? Any idea on what effect it'd have on engine vacuum at WOT ? (alot , some, negligable)

You didn't change the position of the tb blade itself did you? You only took up the slack in the cable...

If the cable is holding the throttle open at all, then the computer will always be trying to re-learn the idle becuse the blade won't stay put unless it is resting on the stop.

How far was it off before, like in degrees? I would say negligible if it was like 5 degrees or something. You can find out for sure by comparing the map reading with the engine off to the map reading at high rpms to find the loss through the whole intake assembly. And if you have an old log file, do the same thing and compare the difference in loss.

Apologize bringing this up from the dead but how did horist adjusted the cable? Where is this adjustment he talked about?
