****** with the stock Y other then taking it to the junkyard isnt worth it to me. i'd just as well buy a 40 dollar cutout.

Some gains yes, but not very much, especially if keeping the stock exhaust with no cut out.

I agree with jpr with the cutout idea. Forget that pancake Y-Pipe

getting rid of the cats getting a better pipe to replace where the stock one flattens out should do 5-8 rwhp?

I highly doubt you will see 8 RWHP from a new y-pipe with stock manifolds.

5 sounds about right though.

like i said before, dont bother ******* with the stock Y. any money invested toward a stock manifold setup will be lost when in inevitably (sp) switch to LT's or Mids.

i'd put a 10 spot on it that you'd gain more power with a lid, ported TB or Pulley then you would with a stock replacement Y. the Y may be flat but it flows the same volume as the non flat passenger side.

. Its a waste of money, save it for something else. On a stock set-up I would say between 3-6 rwhp by taking off the cats and getting a "better" Y. If you are referring to something like SLP's y-pipe, people have put that on and gained nothing on the dyno. Save your money and time.

I got seven more horses with this y-pipe. It is a custom y-pipe with a magnaflow true
y-merge collector. Do a little search with in the site and I belive you will find people getting decent gains with people using a setup like this. Some I have seen use the flowmaster merge collector. here is a pic

slp y-pipe won't give you much at all alone but with a set of headers high flow cats and a good cat back like corsa 3 inch yoy will see a nice difference. i would recommend kooks headers there y-pipe with magna flow cats and a corsa three inch like i said before. good luck man \

so there's no way of making improvments on the stock headers? I don't particularly care for 'all the power i can get' but if for 100bux there was some quicky replaement, i'd do that.
