Default Removing y pipe back?

What would happen, if anything, if I were to remove the exhaust from the y-pipe back? How would the car run? would it hurt anything? Really Im just curious, it seems to be the same principle as dual cutouts...

i ran with LT's and my catted Y w/o a catback for a week before i put my magnaflow on. it was ******* loud could feel the lack of back pressure and its effect on your low end power. also had an annoying and loud pop/cackling noise on deceleration. i was glad to finally get, the catback installed. it fun at firt being hella loud, and that sound on start up was orgasmic but it got tiresome after a day or two.
