Default instead of using restrictor plate for AIR can i make a complete blockoff plate

my ticking noise may be the check vaklves even though i did the restrictor plate mod, now if i undo the air connections and make a plate to completely block the air will this hurt anything? what are the pros and cons? will it be a performance difference? will it stop the ticking noise if it is a bad check vakve? if i replace the check valves, how do i stop them from going out again?

yes you can make a plate for it. i had my kooks made without the fitting at all. ditch the air crap unless you must have it to pass inspection.

I ditched my AIR when I put in my headers not too long ago. You will need to get the AIR deleted off your PCM or you will throw a code(SES light).

The SES light will not hurt anything... If you plan to have the car tuned, just leave it alone and have it deleted when the car is tuned.

We manufacture all plates needed, from the 2 air plates, to the egr plate(blocks off header/exhaust manifolds (brush finish only)...to the intake top-plate in either brushed or polished finish since it is directly on the top of the intake and can be seen.

They can be ordered directly off the site and ship within 24 hrs...they are always in stock. All fabricated from 6061-T6 hardened aluminum.

You don't have to delete the codes, you can use LS1 edit..
Go to test perameters page, and place a really low by-pass temp (like -10 degrees)...the pump will never come on,and no codes will be set...Thats how i'm going to do mine...
