Default Best Cats?

I think Im gonna need to go catted after all guys, so what are the best cats as far as flow and sound. Would it be possible to duplicate a section of my piping from my Rumbler Xpipe to include cats so that whenever I wanted I could just switch out the catted section for the non catted one?

The best are the random tech cats, but they're pretty expensive. You can get a pair of carsounds which flow extremely well for $100 off of eBay.

If you go to a good shop, I'm sure that they can fab in some flanges so that you can swap things out.

I have magnaflows on mine, and they work very well. I'll be ditching them in a couple of months when I go to a true duals setup, and I'll be getting a before and after dyno to show the difference. I'm not expecting to gain much, if anything at all, peak HP and TQ-wise, but hopefully the dyno will prove it.

And before you go asking why, I'm going to duals for the sound and (hopefully) more midrange torque.

Go with the ones that Barry has, look at the power in my sig, stock internal car. I doubt that it would have made that much power if those cats were restrictive at all.

Magnaflow @ Carsounds are internally the same and flow the same. The Maggies get the shiny heat shield compared to the carsounds. Seems they are very durable and last a long time too boot. I lost 9rwhp adding my QTP 3" Catted Y pipe compared to my Hooker ORY both runs cutout open. This was on stock heads, TR224, Longtubes, All bolt ons and tuning. 399rwhp to 390rwhp.

Carsound here too. They flow as well as any other high flow cat and are really cheap. I love them!
