Default who has seen the biggest gain...

With headers, offroad pipe, and what catback?

I have long tubes, ORY, and a cut-out with stock catback. Im ready to put a catback on my car finally. Any help would be appreciated I have read threw so many threads about this and that, and this exhaust does this, but does anyone know for sure which one produces the most power. A straight threw buillit muffler, or a regular muffler. thanks.

Most gains from the set up u mentioned, have the same numbers across the board. I have MAC LT's, MAC off-road Y, and Borla out the back and it dynoed at up 19RW-21RWHP & TQ. It depends on the $ in your pocket and what your preference is. Do research on all cat-backs before choosing. DONT GO WITH SLP W/ HEADERS, Yooull regret it.

stick an 18 inch bullet in place of the loudmouth resonator and it sounds great...i don't understand why everyone is so horrified by the sound of LM/LT/ORY....its not that bad and with a bullet in there, it sounds GOOD.

this is one of those stupid LS1 myths that needs to be killed. yes its LOUD. if you don't want it loud then don't do it BUT don't ignore it because people tell you it sounds like crap... it doesn't.(keep in mind i mean WITH the bullet, i agree its pretty raspy with the original resonator.)

also, if performance is particularly important to you consider this....

LM, Lid, Nittos, 3200 stall = 12.90 @ 104

SAME mods plus LTs/ORY = 12.30 @ 108

I'm sure it sounds WAYYYYY better with the bullet in place. I ran LT's with a LM for about a week while I waited on parts. The best way to describe it was if you put your head in a garbage can and had a few friends wack away at it with baseball bats. It wasn't just loud. It sounded horrible. If a Honda with a fart can was a girl, LT's and LM would be it's brother.

yea i admit its pretty bad w. the resonator but when i start my car up now w/ the bullet, i get compliments and dumbfounded statements like "yo that thing sounds SICK!!! what you got under the hood???"

Oh hey man - I wasn't trying to knock your ride. I thought about putting a bullet on it, but went with a hooker instead. Wow, it just dawned on me - Hooker, Loudmouth, Resonator, Rumbler - Our exhausts sound like they came out of a porno!

i will be the first to admit, i am not a huge fan of single bullets for exhaust. I like the more muffled power sound. For each is there own i guess. After true duals, i will never go back!

Look at the numbers in the sig. I probably gained around 50 hp/60 or so torque with Jet Hot LT's, ory, and Magnaflow. With a tune of course but they didn't need to change much to gain a few more hp.

I have a LM with my QTP longtubes,m and catted Y, and it sounds fine, no rasp. I think it is bacause of the cats, and teh flowmaster merge collector too.

I went from 299/309 tq stock to 311hp 320tq with teh LM ana an slp airlid.

Added qtp longtubes, catted y, ported TB, u.d. pulley and a good Eastside tune, and no am at 359HP and 368TQ, and the under peak #s are WAY better, all at a very safe consistant 12.5 afr. I think I am up 35 HP and nearly 50 TQ at 3500rpm. Very noticable difference.

They are sae corrected. It was dynoed at Heffners Viper shop here in MD. I need a new tune though. I think with them not advancing the timing much and with the ported throttle body I should get over 360/almost 380 torque. We'll see.
