Most people will say to leave the cats intact on a car with a loudmouth exhaust, but if you are not getting longtubes anytime soon, then definitely go for it. I am running a loudmouth on stock manifolds, and I absoultely love it. Also, when you are at a lower speed, and you get on it a bit, if you open your window it will sound like the road is cracking a bit. It's a good bit louder, so just be prepared, but overall I think you will be pleased on stock manifolds.

I dont like the sound of gutted cats, it's way raspy and when u equip an exhaust it ruins the true sound of what u coulda had...

I had a bad expierience with gutting the cats on my friends car, there was little or no performance gain and it sounded shitty!!!

as someone with the loudmouth and gutted cats it is definitely louder w/gutted cats but not near the obnoxious point. I do however hear a lot of noise in the cats area with it running, so the chambers do act as echo chambers. My only reason for gutting them was that I had 2 sets of cats go bad in less than 3000 miles so instead of dealing w/dealership more I chose to gut them.

I had a guy cut them off for me, then he took a metal, pointed rod and go at them until all the "honey-comb" crap was taken out. Then he welded them back up, and I have liked them better than the stock loudmouth setup ever since. Hope that helped a little.
