Default Non TCS cable for cruise/TCS delete

I am deleting my cruise control and TCS so I am dumping the three wire system and motor for a single throttle cable straight from the pedal. The problem is when I went to GM to order the part, they said there was a cable for 2000 and up Non-TCS cars and a cable for 98-99 Non-TCS cars. How could there be two different Non-TCS cables? They would have to be the same length. The only thing I can think of is that the throttle body changed in 2000 so the connection could be different. The mystery is that no one carries the 2000+ Non TCS cables and he can't get ahold of one. He can however get a 98,99 cable to me by Wednesday. Is this the one I should order? I think these were the correct numbers. I know the last two digits are right at least:
12556559 = 98/99
12556560 = 2000+ Anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks- Mike

Default

The throttle cam changed diameter, for one thing.
Dunno if there's any other reason.
