Default Dyno'd the Hooker LT's and True Duals today....

Well finally got to put my own car on the dyno for once. My previous setup was just a Borla catback (exhaust wise). With the other mods i had that setup, with nearly identical dyno conditions, was good for 330 rwhp and 345 tq. That was with TR-55s, 31 deg timing and a 13.1 AF.

The longtubes/TSP duals today, went 345 hp and 367 tq (had one run go 373 tq but rest were right around 367). Now the catch, for one, we coudn't for the life of us get a solid tach lead. So at right about 4800-5k rpm, my hp reading cut. So i figure conservatively, had the dyno been doing its thing, would have seen 352-355 easy. As well, this was with TR-6's at .038, 26 deg timing, and a 12.7/12.8 AF. I could see 360+ rwhp with an aggressive, winter time, all motor tune. Needless to say I am very happy with the setup. That torque number is fantastic as far as Im concerned. And it feels it every bit.

One question, according to my Predator, im pulling like anywhere from .2-.6 deg KR through out the run. Could this be due simply to an exceptionally loud exhaust? It doesnt both me, i can handle .3 deg KR, but simply curious if anyone knows.

Nice numbers Hell, I was hoping for 350 at the wheels with lid/tb/pulley/ls6/lt's/duals/tune. You give me hope for 360+

You should see 360 with tuning. I feel perfectly confident that i could do such were it not for the spray tune. I can actually feel it wanting the timing on the very top end, like from 5k to 5800 it holds back just the slightest bit. But the torque comes on hard down low. The true-duals are the way to go.

Im not sure if the loud exhaust will set off knock sensors or not. What I do know after logging my car on the street a few days ago is that my car pulled 0 timing flogging the heck out of it.

The 1st time I hammered it it instantly pulled 4 degrees and then stopped and never did it again. Im thinking that when I nailed it instantly my pipe on the driver side may have touched the car or something. Who knows. I went through the gears under WOT and done several 4th gear rollons from around 2500 right to the rev limiter and no knock retard.

I logged mine on the dyno, and it was pulling anywhere from .2-.6 deg through the run. I attribute this primarily to the loud exhaust, and i can deal with <1 deg. Every once in a while when i have the wheel cut just so and it hits the right vibration frequency i get the slightest bit of contact on the floorboard, but otherwise none that i can detect.
