Normal header noise, or exhaust leak?
Does this noise sound like normal engine noise with headers (and a small 112 cam)... or do I have an exhaust leak somewhere?
Short clip.
I put on a set of Dynatech headers and cats last week. I've fought a few exhaust leaks since.
I originally reused the factory metal gaskets. I swapped them out for new ones. Both times, I torqued inner to outter, 11ft/lbs then 22ft/lbs.
I found a slip-fit connection that was puffing a bit of air. Solved that. The truck is mostly quiet now.
The noise in the above video is equal on both sides of the truck. It sounds like it's originating from the headers or collectors themselves. Maybe from the underside of the engine?
I can't detect any leaks around the collectors.
When I accelerate, I get a bit of a hissing noise... or more of that same noise in the video, but more of a "white noise" or static sounding noise. I can hear it just a bit when I drive next to a Jersey barrier or stone wall or something.
Bothers me just a bit, but I can live with it if it's normal.
Thanks

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I'll get back into things.

Good call... My cat-back seeps water/vapor ever so slightly and it leaves those lines. It's been a while since I've been under there - I should have some more 'evidence' by now.
