I bought an LS6 intake manifold but didn't do anything about converting my EGR... what do I need? I have the manifold installed with the hose in the place where it went on my stock one, people say I can get by on that but I want to do things the right way. Anyone have some advice?

did you get the new lines for it as well? you will also need to ge the block off plates for the egr....SJM has them-------->sponsor

I have a coolant bypass mod.... how do I get rid of the EGR? won't that cause me to fail emissions?

to get rid of it all you need to do is unbolt it and place the block-off plates on the header. You will get a code and unfortunatlly it will cause you to fail unless you can get a partial tune and get the code deleted and hoping that the inspector doesnt know the difference in the 98-00 and 01-02's If its a huge concern, then sell it and get the slp version with the EGR.

You have the EGR in place as it's supposed to be from the factory. The manifold I sold you is the SLP manifold with the conversion for the EGR. You're good to go.
