Question Meziere Electric water pump worth Getting and what do I need?

I was thinking of getting this Meziere Electric water pump for my 99 LS1 this winter. Is it worth the 500.00+ for it? What else will I need for the install? Will I see any 1/4 mile gains from it?
Thanks for the help...
Scott

You probably won't see a lot of gains in the 1/4. You will gain a good amount of midrange power. IMHO, it is not worth 500 dollars, but 500 dollars is a lot to me. It is a good mod though.

I have one on my car. Its my second unit because the first had a manufactering flaw and started to leak out of the back. I got a free fix

I like the pump alot because you can manually turn it on in the staging lanes and it keeps the car nice and cool in between runs.

I picked up a tenth and a couple mph

This upgrade is usually good for a solid 10hp improvement and as mentioned you can cool the car without having to leave it running. We're running a group purchase for these until January 27th. That will give you a nice savings!

Unless you are going for all bolt-ons, I say that it is not a worth-while mod for the price. I plan to get one sooner or later, but only after heads and intake. At that point that will be one of the only things left to do.

Yea I was wondering the same thing, I've read and heard that people pick up about 6+ ponies, but you look in the dyno section, that people pick up minimal gains with it, and that's a lot of money and the results don't seem worth it, just my opinion.

If you're wanting to squeeze every last hp out of the setup than its worthwhile, but personally I'd wait until i had the other stuff first.
