wait better yet will a 99 and up ls1 engien work on my 98 car??? with teh 98 computer or will tuneing be needed??? and the connections are the same right??

yes, if you keep your 98 harness and PCM.

It is relatively the same motor. Only difference is the PCM, like mentioned above. If you keep your existing PCM/harness, you should have no problems.
