Default Mac Mids w/offroad y-pipe

Well I should be getting my set of macs with the offroad y pipe in the next week or so and would like to know some info. Does anyone have any track number of before and after the install? Also how hard was it to install and do you know where I can find a write up on it? Did you use stock gaskets and bolts?

install was not to bad, i believe there is a good write up at www.ls1howto.com for the install. It should be very helpful, b/c i know jmx's cam install was excellent.

I am not really sure about gains in HP or track with the headers b/c i did not have any track testing or dyno time before the install. I can tell you that i definately felt it though. IMO - they are an excellent mod. I think i may go with some longtubes next time, but the ones i want cost 3x my MACs.

I believe I used my stock gaskets (its been so long I am starting to second guess myself), but i do have a minor leak. It's nothing major but kind of annoying.

Cool, thanks for the input. Do you have any sound clips of your car?

You can use your stock gaskets and bolts.

Install is pretty easy. Both headers will slide right in from the bottom.

Used em on my SS when it was just a bolt-on car. Stock it went 13.6@104.4mph. After i added a whisper lid w/ k&n, mac mids, highflow y-pipe, borla exhaust and DRS i went 13.0 at 109mph. Then clutch gave out
