Default Shift Light Question.

I just had a cam installed last week and got my rev limiter bumped up to 6900 this week when I got my tune. Well I took my brother for a ride in it today and I hit the rev limeter when the tac was reading 6500. I know that the stock tacks are off so it`s time for a shift light. What brand and model number shift lights are you guys using. I`m not going to get a tac so I need to know some shift lights that will work with out the tac. Also how hard are they to install?
Thanks for any help,
Al

I used a Harlan and I like it alot. It's easy to install (go to www.installuniversity.com). I put mine in the center A/C vent and I see it fine. Most people will tell you to get the red led's. They are the easiest on your eyes at night. I also set mine to 6300 rpm with a 6650 rev limiter and if I'm not on top of it, I can still high my rev limiter in first gear.

Another vote for the Harlan. Very easy to install and fairly cheap. $30 cheaper than the raptor. I went with the red LEDs and I put it my AC vent

I have the Raptor shift light, extremely easy to install, and you dont have to wait for a Harlan, because he builds them himself. Both are high quality products and you will be satisfied with either one.

I went with Raptor because I didn't feel like waiting 2 months to get a Harlan.

Were can I finde these shift lights at. I was looking at one that LG Motorsports that has 7 lights that each one turns on the closer you get to your selected RPM setting. I want to check out the Raptor and the Harlan first though. Why dose it take so long for the Harlan to come in? Someone said he has to make them after you order it or somthing.

How did you mount it. Did you just drill holes in the A/C duct. Did you mount it straight twards the rear of the car or did you anlge it twards you. Also is it easy to see.

Get a raptor with blue bulbs. They're around $100 and are very small and easy to configure. The blue bulbs are the brightest. I have it in my center vent.

I have the Harlan, got it 4-5 years ago when he started making them. Only took a week to get it back then. Mines mounted to the steering column just like the old days....
