pacesetter headers???
I am a newb to ls1 tech. i did read the mod guide though, but i still have a few questions. I want a set of headers for my 00 camaro, but i dont have like 1000 dollars to spend on headers, more like 600. i read that the pacesetters dont fit properly by some people, and others say they didnt have any problems with them. Would a set of those headers and a tsp y pipe fit without drastic modifications??? How did the pacesetters fit on your cars, problems or not. Thanks guys
Ryan

I've heard that they came out with a different design that fit better than the older production models. I was reading on a local board (www.tidewaterracing.com) that all the guys there that purchased the newer styles ones had no problems at all.
I was thinking about Pacesetters, but I saw a pic of uncoated Pacesetters and they rusted mighty quick. I'd say buy Jet-Hots. Just my .02. Take it as it's worth.

The only problems I had were because of the early Y pipe design and that was compounded by my raggedy *** motor mounts. As far as the header is concerned, I got the Ceramic coated version and I am 100% satisfied.

I am going with the uncoated and having them anodized. Dude near me does the headers for the #4 nascar team, and says anodizing it 10 times better than ceramic, plus he can pretty much do it in any color you want.

I have to say go ahead and get some coated pacersetter's. The new design is the desighn you will end up getting if new and lemme tell you, they could not fit any better. They just slide into place from the bottom and dont come close to touching anything. I have a 99 6 speed and I Picked up nearly 4 tenths and 5mph in the 1/8 from these headers and true duals.

Pacesetters...
I switched from a much more expesive set of headers after having problems with ground clearance and **** poor customer service from the BIG name header company.
I have a new set of ceramic coated setters and the fit, ground clearance and finish are all A1. They are really good to deal with as well.
As stated before, with the new design + pricing = Excellent deal!!
