It is a 80 mm intake, that is supposed to outflow the LS6 one.
Unlike the Weiand it uses O-ringed gaskets.
It can also be fully portmatched.
The heat soak factor is neglectable at street level.

August 10, 2004 - New LS-1 Intake Manifold Enters Production
Our engineering staff recently wrapped-up final testing of our all-new SSI-Series performance intake manifold for GM's popular LS-1 engine family. Designed as a simple bolt-on for the F-body models as well as the base and Z06 C-5 Corvette and GTO models, this new piece delivers about 18-24 more horsepower than the factory part. This manifold is scheduled to begin shipments at the end of September.

I asked about this Intake many, many months ago. The thing never made it to the market. I bought a FAST 90/90 setup.
I really don't like when a product is announced with a release date, and the date get s pushed further and further back.

I'm glad the AFR's are putting the numbers down as promised. They are definately a great product.

Well I have a BBK 80 mm TB for about 3 years now, no problem, just had to clean it up once a year. I wouldn't mind a 80mm intake. I had to settle for a modified LS6. (Which doesn't do bad BTW)
