I haven't seen any results. If there anything like any other BBK products I've seen, they won't be worth a crap. Not quite shure where they would be any diffrent from a Weiland.

Why do people say that? I have never seen a BBK product that was a piece of crap. I had on of their TBs on a 98 Mustang, and I was really impressed with the quality.

Their shorty headers for our cars aren't the best out there, but I agree. I think they do make some good parts, just not necessarily shorty headers. I've never bought anything from them, but unless their customer service sucks, I'm not sure why so many don't like them.

It is a 80 mm intake, that is supposed to outflow the LS6 one.
Unlike the Weiand it uses O-ringed gaskets.
It can also be fully portmatched.

The heat soak factor is neglectable at street level.

August 10, 2004 - New LS-1 Intake Manifold Enters Production
Our engineering staff recently wrapped-up final testing of our all-new SSI-Series performance intake manifold for GM's popular LS-1 engine family. Designed as a simple bolt-on for the F-body models as well as the base and Z06 C-5 Corvette and GTO models, this new piece delivers about 18-24 more horsepower than the factory part. This manifold is scheduled to begin shipments at the end of September.

I asked about this Intake many, many months ago. The thing never made it to the market. I bought a FAST 90/90 setup.

I really don't like when a product is announced with a release date, and the date get s pushed further and further back.

Yeah, I actually had a back and forth PM with Tony Mamo regarding this same issue (announced product release time). I would have bought a pair if they would have come out in time, but I got impatient and got the TEA's (very happy with them).
I'm glad the AFR's are putting the numbers down as promised. They are definately a great product.

I've bought 3 or 4 diffrent products from BBK for my F-bodies. Everyone of them had something that had to be ground down, removed, then re-welded. Lots of parts installed backwards or on the wrong side....... I'll give them cedit on there mustang parts, my longtubes I got for the old SN95 were pretty good. I guess they had longer to work out the bugs on them.

Well I have a BBK 80 mm TB for about 3 years now, no problem, just had to clean it up once a year. I wouldn't mind a 80mm intake. I had to settle for a modified LS6. (Which doesn't do bad BTW)

So no new release date? I'd be a guinea-pig for that intake as I'm considering the FAST 78mm right now...
