Default need help--car wont start

Not sure if this is the right forum but here is my problem.

The car was sitting for about a month and the batterry drained. I got a new
battery now and it cranks but it wont start even when I give it gas.
I have checked all the fuses and i have 50 psi of fuel pressure when the ignition is on. I think it's some sort of an ignition problem but I'm not sure where to start. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well for one thing you don't ever need to give a computer controlled car gas when you try and start it, I would try resetting you pcm by going to the fuse boxes under the hood and with the key in the on position pull the pcm batt fuse out of the one box and then the pcm ign fuse out of the other box and wait about 2 min. then turn the key off and put the fuses back and try and start it then.
Good luck!

Have you checked to see if you are getting any spark at the sparkplugs?

Did you get this situation taken care of?

I'd pull a couple of the plugs and check them out.

spark at the coil looks way healthier than spark at the plug. Is it supposed to be like this? Havent checked all the plugs yet but the one i pulled out looks ok.

Yeah, you won't see such an (apparent) amount of energy from the plug tip as you will from grounding the coil.
Wow. I can think of several things, all of which may be irrelevant.
Look at the spark on a plug on both sides of the engine, if it's there that probably eliminates any connector problem?
See if your buddy stuffed a squirrel in your throttle body (J/K).
Bad gas/clogged injectors?
Out of ideas for now, tired/brain dead.
good luck.

Did you check you fuel prssure with a fuel pressure gage at the fuel rail to come up with the 50 psi? if your getting spark at the plugs then you must have a fuel problem.

Yes it's 50 PSI at the rail
Spark on both sides of the motor
No squirrel in the trottle body

Initially I thought it was the fuel pump because it didn't wind as long as it usually did but when I saw the 50PSI on the gauge I knew wasnt the pump.

Today I checked the connector of the fuel pump under the car and found out that it only gets power on the inital turn of the key for like a split second. After that there is no power going to the pump. Is this long enough time to get 50PSI of fuel pressure at the rail? All the grounds have been checked along with the fuel pump relay. It looks like an electrical problem at this point. What do you guys think it is?

Mine is doing the same thing. When I initially turn the key the fuel pump charges for about .5 secs and shuts off instead of the normal three. Car cranks but doesnt start.

It really doesn't sound like a fuel pump problem because you have 50psi at the rails so the car should fire and then quit if the fuel pump was the problem. You say your getting spark out of each sparkplug bank so maybe check and see if there is power going to the injector's.
