Default ls6 intake question

Will anything bad happen if I put on my ls6 intake without getting it tuned right away with my mods. I am going to buy a ported tb, but i think I am going to do some racing before the tb comes in, so i thought I would at least put on the intake. What, if anything, bad will happen if i dont get it tuned?

if your removing the egr and air then those codes should be deleted, its recommended you dont do full throttle passes with those codes on (ses light from it) Other than that your af will be off a little. If your air and egr is already deleted then i wouldnt sweat it at all.

ya the air and egr are already deleted. So nothing bad will happen? I don't want to do this and then regret it later.

Is the check engine light because the egr is not being used and has not been deleted? Ya and why are some people saying no full throttle passes?

Yeah I'd like to know as well...I thought merely turning the codes off (via Edit/Predator etc.) changes nothing but the actual light on the dash, the car should function/run the exact same way as before turning off the SES light which in and of itself might not be ideal until it gets properly tuned of course. At that point it should run even better yet.
I just put my LS6 intake (and ASP pulley) on on Monday and deleted EGR and AIR as well, I have the dash light as expected but I plan on racing the car in just over a week and setting a new best in the process hopefully.
